ARUBA

Access Point

From high-performance 802.11n Wi-Fi to outdoor mesh to wired-only devices, Aruba access points (APs) serve as on-ramps to the distributed enterprise network.

Working with Aruba Mobility Controllers, Aruba APs require no manual configuration, utilize automatic software updates and are managed centrally. The Mobility Controller manages all aspects of the APs and automatically pushes configuration changes to them in real time. Aruba APs employ Trusted Platform Modules (TPM) to store sensitive information for enterprise-grade security.

Aruba APs support distributed and centralized traffic forwarding modes, and offer best-in-class RF management through Adaptive Radio Management (ARM) technology. ARM automates channel management, protects against wireless LAN interference, and ensures ultra-reliable data, voice and video application performance for Wi-Fi clients.

Multipurpose Aruba APs support a variety of operating modes. In addition to providing Wi-Fi client access, Aruba 802.11n APs can operate in air monitoring (AM) mode to detect intrusions by rogue devices and interference from other wireless LANs.

They can also perform spectrum analysis by scanning the 2.4-GHz and 5-GHz radio bands to identify 802.11 and non-802.11 sources of RF interference and threats. This capability helps to enforce wireless security policies and enables remote network troubleshooting.

In Remote AP (RAP) mode, Aruba 802.11n APs provide secure network access to corporate enterprise resources from remote locations. In environments where wired connectivity is not possible, Aruba 802.11n APs can perform self-healing point-to-point bridging, one-hop mesh and multi-hop mesh operations.

The entire portfolio of Aruba APs are featured and priced to address the specific needs of distributed enterprise networks, from large campuses to small branch offices:

•    Single and dual radio 802.11a/b/g/n
•    Wireless and wired networks
•    Indoor and outdoor deployments
•    Telecommuter deployments
•    Harsh environment/factory-floor deployments
•    802.11a/b/g/n Wi-Fi client access, air monitor, spectrum analysis, Remote AP and secure enterprise mesh operating modes
